Today I'd like to talk about the unloved lover; its an unrequited love, but without some of the connotations of that tag; its not a secret.

The unloved lover is pathetic, a joke, laying themselves down before someone who doesn't want them, in front of everybody, a humiliating position. However, there is power in this position too.

They cannot return the love presented to them, they cannot meet the demand. Therefore, they are exposed as missing something, possessing a flaw.
